For our operations in Bonn/Germany, we are looking for an
(Junior-)Specialist (m/f/d) Atngi IT Innovation Engineer
Assignment period: 12/01/2022 - 11/30/2025

Atingi is the founding flagship of the Global Programme Digital Transformation, which was recently reorganised as a cluster within GloBe. Our vision at atingi is a world in which digital learning is inclusive, accessible, relevant, safe, and secure for all. In developing countries, access to lifelong learning opportunities is scarce and remains a challenge. To address this gap, we are implementing the atingi platform, a Moodle based, open-source learning environment, funded by the Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development.
Your tasks
• Tightly collaborating with our product management team to maintain a competitive product with a scaling architecture that exceeds customer expectations and meets requirements specific to international development and collaboration
• Leading the design and support integration of new components and features, e.g. bots, recommendation systems, verifiable certificates, artificial intelligence or virtual reality into the atingi learning environment to improve the learner experience
• Coordinating and executing collaboration with various external service providers (hosting, design and development), including scoping, delivery and quality management
• Day to day management and administration of the learning platform including release cycles, permission systems, data privacy, security and other general administrative support for atingi partners and learners
• Providing technical support to partners, contributing to the creation, documentation, and training of Learning Management System standards, policies, and procedures
• Training other team members on key system functionality and administrative tasks
• Pro-actively contributing to process optimisation efforts within the team, on topics like ticketing workflows, product requirements, documentation and support
Anforderungsprofil
Your profile
• Completed university-degree with a focus on computer science or IT administration, or related disciplines with a strong affinity to working with IT systems
• Several years of professional experience designing and deploying software solutions that meet highest IT security and data protection standards, preferably gained in developing or emerging countries, is an advantage
• Several years of professional experience in software engineering and systems management
• Several years of professional experience harnessing technologies such as APIs and Single Sign-on
• A deep understanding of technology trends in the software and eLearning industries and the ability to tell the difference between the viable and the buzz
• Knowledge or experience in international development and cooperation is desirable, as is experience in our GIZ partner countries
• Business fluent in English; German language skills are desirable
